Hi, MSC,

Don´t wait for events to overtake you.
At the very least, go to your local court (county or magistrates - not quite sure which) and get an ex-parte prohibited steps order for the children.
At the very least, you can also request that the court orders their passports surrendered until residence is sorted out.
I say again do not wait for events to overtake you. Try and place yourself in a position that will be very hard or almost impossible to dislodge you from.
You will have a hard time fighting that bettle but your children will always be grateful to you for fighting their corner at a time that they cannot protect themselves. Once the orders are in place, you will have bought yourself valuable time in which to further prepare for further battles or which you can use to further strengthen your position.
I wish you and your children the best.
