if you boyfriends name is on the birth certificate he has as many rights as you.he can then also apply for turkish citizenship. should this happen and you are in turkey your child comes under turkish law not british law hope this helps.

u could get a solicitor to write to turkish embassy to stop him applying for a turkish passport for your child as i had done hope that helps

my childs fathers name is on my childs birth certificate.he got turkish identity for my son without my knowledge.i would concentrate on not letting your son have turkish identity.It took me 13 months to get my son home because of this and his father was in uk.if your childs father was in turkey with him it would take a lot longer.even though they are members of the Hague convention alot of prosecutors police ect have never heard of this.i almost got arrested on several occasions .Turkey as its own laws and alot can happen before a date can be set for a hague not let your child go to Turkey if he has dual nationality.
