child abduction Turkey

by Lara / Posted 30/10/2013 / Updated 06/11/2013

At the time beeing I am stuck in Turkey with my 3 Children. Canīt get out because my husband (since 18 years) applied for divorce and custody of the Children while we were here on holiday. He just thought that the Children should learn Turkish (his mother tongue and get some Turkish Culture). Does anyone have experience how things work in Turkey? How long it takes? Thereīs the local process (divorce/custody) going on and now finally the Hague process has been filed with the hearing date on January 9, 2014. But the local process has now decided that the father can see the Children every second weekend... not very happy about that as I am afraid he would not give me back the Children. The local process drives me crazy as they continue to decide about things they should not decide about. Even though I had so many good documents (and my husband had just rubbish - not a single officil document) the Court refused to take away the blocks in the childrenīs passports. Would just like to get in Contact with someone who has been through this.
