Annual Balloon Launch

 

 

We will be holding our annual Balloon Launch on Thursday 4th December to remember those children who will not be at home at Christmas and to rejoice for those children who have returned home during the year.

 

This special day gives parents and families an opportunity to meet others in a similar situation and share the heartache and difficulties involved.  It also gives parents and the reunite team an opportunity to meet the ´voice´ at the end of the telephone.

 

The day will start at the Belmont Hotel, De Montfort Street Leicester, where we will hear from Denise Carter, Director of reunite, and representatives from the Ministry of Justice and the Foreign and Commonwealth Office.

 

The launch of the balloons will take place at the Town Hall Square, Leicester, where we will release a 1,000 balloons to remember the many families touched by international parental child abduction.

 

The Balloon Launch has become a very special part of reunite´s calendar and many parents who have joined us in previous years have said that meeting others who could fully understand and empathise with their situation gave them great strength and comfort so we hope you will be able to join us for what is a very emotional but rewarding day.
