North Eastern Group Forum on Child Abduction and Relocation

On 9th March, Alison Shalaby, Acting Director, Sharon Cooke, Advice Line Manager, and Anika Chandi, Advice Line Coordinator, traveled to Leeds for the inaugural meeting of the North Eastern Group Forum on Child Abduction and Removal from the Jurisdiction.

We were delighted that the event was so well attended by local solicitors keen to discuss the challenges of preventing and responding to international parental child abduction. For a report of the meeting click here

Our outreach work is crucial in ensuring that parents are well informed and supported within the regions and we will be developing this aspect of our work in the coming months.

Our thanks go to Marisa Allman at Zenith Chambers, Leeds, for Chairing and hosting the meeting, and we are all looking forward to the challenge of developing initiatives and programmes of work which will support and benefit parents and children.
