Neil says "Getting Emily´s Song into the charts on February 6th is the best way to make this too big an issue for the press and public to ignore. That would force national radio to put the song on their playlists and talk about the issue. It would give us a mandate to present to the government to use when approaching other governments on behalf of these children. From a personal point of view, if Emily´s Song does chart, then there is a glimmer of hope that Emily may someday hear the song and know that her father still misses her."
This campaign is to raise awareness of the issue of child abduction as well as funds to help reunite continue to offer this vital service and continue to help reunite children with their loving parents. Emily´s Song also gives a voice to the many parents separated from their children, but are unable to tell their stories due to on-going legal battles.
"Every time the song is played on the radio or dowloaded from itunes, Amazon, or any of the leading download providers these children will get a message that they are not forgotten, and that somebody far away is desperate to be with them."
