The legal news section of this site has been developed to give members of the reunite specialist lawyers network a forum to highlight particular cases of interest, areas of concern, and to share information and knowledge with the international legal community.

It will also assist the reunite legal working group in canvassing opinion from the international legal community when considering specific pieces of research.  Information on conferences relating to international parental child abduction being held both in the UK, and internationally, will be also publicised within this section.

Another new and important element of the website, that you will find within our lawyers area, is the articles and publication page.  This page has been developed to provide news and topical discussion on matters of current legal interest in the field of international parental child abduction, and as an opportunity for professionals to publicise and share their articles, conference papers, books and other literature relating to child abduction, and to read the literature that has been submitted by other professionals.  If you wish to submit a piece to the articles and publications page there is an easy to use built in submission form.  After a while pieces will be moved from the articles and publications area, and into the library in our resources section, to keep the section fluid and interesting.

The Ministry of Justice and the Foreign & Commonwealth Office will also be using the legal news area to publicise the work of their child abduction departments, announce legal developments within the area of child abduction, and promote any upcoming conferences and training opportunities.
