 Sponsored Walk 2012

Our annual sponsored walk has been ongoing since 2010 and is intended to raise funds for the reunite advice line so we can continue to offer advice, information and support to parents and those who have been affected by international parental child abduction. It is also a day to bring together parents so that they can meet and speak with others who have experienced similar circumstances.

This year’s event was held on Saturday 22nd September and started from "The Shed" in Stave Hill Ecological Park and it was great to have over 50 people attend - being a mixture of parents, friends, supporters and lawyers.

Our walk took us around some of the beautiful sites of Rotherhithe (set in Greater London) including Russia Dock Woodlands, Lavender Pond and Surrey Docks Farm where we stopped to have a look at (and smell!) the animals.
The weather did not disappoint us either, it was a sunny day and we were able to stop for ice-cream on the way around, which is always good :)

So once again we would like to say a big thank you to everyone that attended, those who donated - we raised £1,741.50 which is incredible - and to the team at Stave Hill Ecological Park for all their help on the day and in the run-up to the event.
